Meet Dr. Eliezer Jones

Founder, Lead Mediator & Child-Inclusive Specialist

Dr. Eliezer Jones, PhD

A practice born from purpose.

I founded this practice after seeing that the process of divorce can often cause more harm than the divorce itself. Thoughtful mediation helps couples make clearer decisions and reach healthier resolutions in their family's best interest.

With every mediation, I bring a deep respect for how difficult separation and divorce can be, and a strong belief that the process itself should not create additional harm. As a PhD in Clinical Psychology with nearly two decades of experience working with couples, children, and families, I approach mediation with a calm, structured, and intentional mindset.

My training includes certification in Divorce Mediation from Northwestern University and specialized education in child-inclusive mediation. I founded Lakeshore Mediation — and developed My Child's Voice — after witnessing how traditional divorce processes often generate unnecessary conflict, cost, and emotional strain.

Emotionally informed. Practically grounded.

My role as a divorce mediator is not to take sides or impose outcomes. I guide both parties through a process that is respectful, focused, and forward-moving.

My background in psychology and family systems, combined with formal training in mediation and a solid understanding of legal and practical issues — custody, parenting plans, asset division, and support — allows me to facilitate a process that is both emotionally informed and realistically grounded.

"When children are involved, I bring particular care and expertise."

Divorce doesn't have to be a war.

When families enter the traditional litigation process, they often emerge more divided, more depleted, and more entrenched than when they began. Court-imposed decisions rarely account for the nuance of a family's actual life.

Mediation is different. It puts the decision-making power back in the hands of the people who know your family best — you. My role is to create the structure, safety, and skilled facilitation that makes productive conversation possible.
